VKP is a SpeechCycle patent-pending graphical application design tool that enables the creation and modification of VoiceXML speech applications. The premise of VKP is that VUI designers and those that are not programmers will be capable of producing a VoiceXML application with VKP. It is also capable of allowing more than one person to work on different parts of the application at the same time, improving time to market.
SpeechCycle’s application building foundation is built upon the premise of “call flow as software”. For instance, SpeechCycle dialogs are not simple flat trees, but rather 3 dimensional hierarchical models created to manage complexity. VKP takes advantage of software abstraction and use of events to allow SpeechCycle applications to have thousands of possible call paths while remaining manageable and maintainable.
