Contender is a SpeechCycle tool that provides empirical evidence of success if there is more than a single choice for some portion of a speech dialog. Contender allows comparison of a number of alternative designs within a call flow. For any given call, one of the proposed designs is randomly selected according to a defined probability distribution. After a number of calls have been logged, statistical machine learning analysis tools are used to select the design that provides the best rate of success.
