Zor Gorelov, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board
Zor’s leadership and strategic focus have built SpeechCycle into one of the fastest growing technology companies in the North America. Prior to co-founding SpeechCycle, Zor was the founder and CEO of BuzzCompany.com, a developer of enterprise collaboration and messaging solutions, acquired in 2000 by Multex.com (now part of Reuters), where he then served as Senior Vice President. Before that, Zor held management positions at Microsoft, Bell Labs, Computron Software and Information Builders. In his first experience as an entrepreneur Zor started a software company providing medical information services. Zor is a graduate of Tbilisi University in the Republic of Georgia and holds a degree in electrical engineering.
Ruth Brown, President
Ruth brings significant experience in creating and managing software companies to SpeechCycle. Previously, Ruth was a founder and COO of BuzzCompany.com and became a Vice President at Multex.com with the BuzzCompany acquisition in 2000. Before that, she founded Reiter, Brown & Co., a management-consulting firm, co-founded Software Corporation of America (SCA), an enterprise software company, consulted for John Rhodes & Co., and held management and software engineering positions at Control Data Corp. and Sears. Ruth is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. She was idd to the NY City YWCA Academy of Women Achievers in 1984 and is an Associate Trustee of the University of Wisconsin Union.
Victor Goltsman, Senior Vice President of Operations
Victor is responsible for SpeechCycle’s LevelOne on-demand service, building on his more than 20 years’ experience in system engineering, network and data communications systems, software applications, technology training and project management. Prior to SpeechCycle, Victor was Vice President of Infrastructure at BuzzCompany.com and a Vice President at Multex.com with the BuzzCompany acquisition. Before that, he was a consultant to Fortune 500 companies, and earlier co-founded Mutual Data Inc., a New York City-based technology training company. Victor received a research engineering degree in 1983 from Polytechnic University in Perm, Russia, and a degree in computer science in 1986 from Moscow City College.
David Ho, Senior Vice President, Business Solutions Group
David brings over 20 years of successful leadership & management experience in delivering large-scale automated IVR/Speech solutions for call-centers and intelligent networks. Prior to SpeechCycle, David led the Global Project Management Practice for Nuance Professional Services. Before that, David was a Founder and President of Pivot Solutions, a management & technology consulting company. He also served as a VP of Engineering at Comverse where he led the engineering, delivery, implementation, & support of fully-integrated telco-grade solutions for many of the largest Telecom Service Providers in the world – including a 140,000 ports IVR/Speech production platform hosting hundreds of applications simultaneously. Before Comverse, David was a VP of Professional Services at Amarex Technology Inc. which was later acquired by Comverse. He has also held senior consulting positions at Digital Equipment Corporation as a Call-Center Consulting Executive and Telecom Industry Consulting Manager. David has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University.
Albert Kim, Senior Vice President of Mobile Division
Albert Kim leads SpeechCycle’s software engineering and speech science teams, encompassing applications that automate complex technical support calls for high speed internet, video, voice services, and related technologies. Prior to joining SpeechCycle, Albert was a Founder and President of Equicast Media LLC. As a Group Manager and Principal Consultant at Microsoft Corp. for over 13 years, he delivered solutions for service providers and enterprises with global presence. Albert was awarded Microsoft’s prestigious Architectural Engineer of the Year award in 1998. Albert Kim earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Long Island University.
Scott Kolman, Senior Vice President of Marketing
Scott brings more than 20 years of experience in the communications industry, most recently serving as Marketing Director, Customer Management Division at Amdocs where he oversaw all marketing activities for the company’s Customer Management product portfolio. As Senior Vice President of Marketing, Scott is responsible for driving industry awareness of the company’s groundbreaking SmartCare Mobile solution and guiding the company’s go-to-market strategy. With high-tech marketing experience spanning product marketing, strategic alliances, industry and channel marketing, market management and marketing communications, Scott is a recognized marketing professional with expertise in the customer care industry. Prior to Amdocs, he held marketing positions at Nortel Networks, Clarify, Inc., Lucent Technologies and Octel Communications. Scott has a Bachelors of Arts in Advertising from San Jose State University.
L. Mario Mascioli, Senior Vice President Worldwide Sales and Channels
Mario is responsible for SpeechCycle’s Worldwide sales and channel teams, and fueling the company’s top-line growth. He is a multi-faceted business leader with 25 years of successful sales and channel experience in the enterprise software and SaaS industries. Most recently, he was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Internet Capital Group--a leading technology holding company in the on-demand Internet software and services market. Prior to that, Mario was Managing General Partner at Raven Group, LLC, where he focused on accelerating business growth through the delivery of strategic sales and marketing expertise. Mario also worked at Microsoft as a Senior Field Leader for over 10 years leading sales, channel and professional services teams in the communication sector, enterprise and SMB units. Before joining Microsoft, he held senior-level sales and marketing positions at Digital Equipment Corporation and IBM. Mario has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Drexel University.
Alan Pan, Vice President of Product Management
Alan Pan has over 15 years of experience in developing products and technology, and in delivering new products to market. Previously as Director of Product Marketing for BuzzPower collaboration and messaging products for Multex.com, Alan was the driving force behind marketing and evangelizing the BuzzPower product. As Director of Solutions at BuzzCompany.com, Alan successfully delivered large Web applications for major corporations. Before that, Alan was at J.P. Morgan and Wall Street Services where he lead the development and operation of a Web-based B2B solution for the consulting industry.
Elizabeth Yenko, Director of Finance
Elizabeth oversees all financial operations of the company including finance, reporting, and accounting. She is responsible for the company’s fiscal function and performance as well as treasury management. Before joining SpeechCycle, Elizabeth worked at JB Christopher as a Director of Finance and Operations. In 2000, she joined Mi8 Corporation, where she served as Manager of Operation Support Systems, before being promoted to Director of Finance until the company was acquired by Apptix in 2006. She has more than 10 years of experience in finance and operations, including working as a Senior Business Analyst at AIG, and as a technical analyst with EDS. Elizabeth is a graduate of Rutgers University and holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration dual degree.
Mike Maben, Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific
Mike brings over 20 years of experience in the technology sector with a strong emphasis on IVR, Speech and Mobile software products. His career encompasses time with companies such as Mitel, Avaya, ServicePro and Nuance. Most recently Mike held the position of Director of Professional Services at Nuance initially building their Professional Services business in Europe and then moving on to expand their presence in Asia Pacific. He was responsible for deploying solutions across a number of Asia Pacific’s Service Providers and Large Enterprise accounts using technologies that included Speech/ IVR, Mobile Care solutions and Voicemail to Text.
